Don't be seen in public drinking soft drink from a bottle or can in LOS. Use the straw provided. It shows that you were brought up right. Don't drink beer in public from a can or bottle. Use a glass. Don't drink beer through a straw if you want to remain standing over a long night. That's one of the funniest things about BKK - ladies drinking their beer from straws. I suppose it does the job more efficiently ...

One of the ten things I most love about LOS is the effort it takes at the local 711 to explain to the kids behind the counter there that I don't need six straws to take to my room with my cans of Chang, (to be consumed in the privacy of a hotel room during the HBO movie on a quiet night, from the can, alone, in private, unseen.)

Ah yes, the Mop Lady! The Nano-second Menu Choice!! Oh so true.

And these god-damned straws!!! Prior to Thailand, I'd never used them. In the last 6 weeks I've been given approximately 140 of the damn things!!! Not to mention all those little plastic spoons and a separate plastic bag for absolutely anything I buy.

Brilliant post again On Nutter. I'm still laughing, but the funniest part is, it's 100% true.
